Newport Public Services Committee Inducted Into RI Recreation & Parks Association Membership to the RI Recreation & Parks Association – Hall of Fame

New Trail Markers On Cliff Walk Identify Historic Points Of Interest

The City of Newport’s Cliff Walk Commission has announced the installation of 16 trail markers along the 3 ½ mile trail, Rhode Island’s most popular visitor attraction. The markers provide information on the gilded age mansions and many geographic and geological features seen along the Walk. Each point of interest features a QR code and an URL that can be scanned or entered on a smart phone. Media Advisory - Mayor Jeanne-Marie Napolitano and members of the Newport City Council will be hosting a meeting and tour of the former Sheffield School building with United States Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development Administration (EDA) Jay Williams. Secretary Williams will be joined by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, D-RI. City of Newport, RI Selected to Present at Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency for Energy (ARPA-E) Innovation Summit

The City of Newport, Rhode Island has been invited to present at the preeminent energy innovation summit, the Department of Energy’s ARPA-E Innovation Summit (Advanced Research Projects Agency for Energy), where influential leaders and breakthrough technologies are exhibited to influential government, military and private sector leaders.
